Night bull events return to Cuenca for San Julián 2026

The 2026 San Julián Fair in Cuenca will once again feature one of the highlights that brought new life to its nights last year. The company Maxitoro has confirmed the return of night-time heifer releases, following the strong public response to their debut.

Far from being a one-off attraction, these events are now becoming a key part of the festive programme, adding a lively and popular atmosphere that complements the traditional bullfighting schedule.

Dates and schedule

The events will take place at the Cuenca Bullring across four key nights: Saturday 22, Monday 24, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August. All will begin at 11:30 pm, maintaining the format that proved so successful last year.

This late-night timing has become one of the most appealing aspects, offering an alternative way to extend the festive day beyond the main bullfighting events.
